On Sunday, September 28, 2025, King’s College,Budo celebrated a momentous occasion – the Senior 4 Thanksgiving ceremony. The event was a vibrant and joyous celebration, marked by the presence of the S4 candidates, resplendent in their uniforms, and their parents.
The main celebrant Rev. Festo Kalungi encouraged the candidates to seek divine guidance, emphasizing the importance of prayer and reading. He cautioned against shortcuts, stressing that exams are not just about grades, but also about character and integrity.
The Headmaster, Canon John Fred Kazibwe expressed gratitude to God and appreciation to parents for their support. He urged parents to be part of the transformation calling upon them to contribute towards New chapel project.
He encouraged the candidates to utilize their vacation to acquire new skills, adhering to the school’s values. He concluded with a message of hope and perseverance, citing Galatians 6:9.
The Chairperson Board of Governors, Mr Jim Rogers Katende Serunjogi, thanked God for the milestone, and the candidates for making it this far. He encouraged them to prepare well for their exams and called upon parents to contribute towards the new chapel.
The ceremony culminated in a sumptuous luncheon, where candidates and their parents came together to celebrate this significant achievement. The event concluded with a sense of gratitude and hope for the future, echoing the school’s motto: “Gakyali Mabaga” – So little done, So much more to do.
