King’s College, Budo successfully held its Annual Careers Day Exhibition on Wednesday, 30th April 2025. The event provided an enriching platform for students to explore various professional avenues through direct engagement with industry leaders and institutions.

Among the distinguished exhibitors were representatives from Uganda Christian University, DFCU Bank, the Uganda Police, Total Energies, the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), and the National Water and Sewerage Corporation. Each organisation presented a range of career pathways and opportunities, offering students valuable insights into future prospects.

In addition to the institutional showcases, Budo students proudly exhibited a series of innovative projects sponsored by the school—demonstrating both their creativity and practical skills.

The Headmaster, Canon John Fred Kazibwe, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participating organisations, stating, “Career guidance is a cornerstone of our academic mission.”

The highlight of the day was a compelling keynote address delivered by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Connie Nshemereirwe, Director at Future Africa. In her address, she encouraged students to aim high and remain steadfast in the pursuit of their passions. She emphasised self-awareness and continuous growth, advising, “Once you’re done with school and happen to get a job, use that chance to get another job,” while cautioning against settling for less when greater opportunities present themselves.

The Careers Day Exhibition continues to stand as a testament to Budo’s commitment to holistic student development and future readiness.
