It is both an honor and a privilege to join the rest of the King’s College, Budo fraternity to celebrate the gallant individuals who founded this great institution – King’s College, Budo!
We derive a lot of inspiration from the founders and past administrators that made a contribution over the 119 years. Our theme for the year 2025, (Matt 5:16), speaks powerfully about the fruits we gain from doing great works for the Lord knowing that our labor never goes to waste. The founders of this great school did exactly that and set a good platform for us to emulate.
The founders put aside their hard-earned personal resources and time, the outcome of which has gone on to contribute significantly to the spiritual, intellectual and social growth of generations over the years.
On this auspicious occasion when we celebrate the founders of the school, we are challenged to envision the future demands of the school. As the present-day stewards who have been given the duty to support and superintend over the school, we should purpose to contribute to decisions that will keep the school at the forefront for generations to come.
On behalf of the Parents and Teachers Association Executive, I would like to appreciate our main sponsors – the parents for entrusting us with the stewardship role to lead in this period. The parents have greatly supported management’s vision and plans by paying school fees in time and contributed to other financial and material donations towards various projects. Other parents have also contributed by donating their time to offer pro-bono services in different areas of need. The results arising from such effort are evident for everyone to see.
As PTA, we join the rest of the stakeholders to acknowledge and celebrate the individuals who founded the school we are proud to serve today. We continue to commit our unreserved energy to promote the values as emphasized by the foundation body – the Church of Uganda.
The Parents and Teachers Association executive in collaboration with the management and board, have been at the forefront in promoting the tenets of the founders of this great institution. We are proud to be part of the numerous achievements the school has attained over the years.
We congratulate all the stakeholders of King’s College, Budo upon reaching the 119th birthday.
