Lörrach-Budo-Mengo German exchange program 2024, one of its kind was initiated by Canon John Fred Kazibwe. It was a pay back visit, the Germans came in 2023, so their Ugandan exchange partners had to visit them in 2024 for 2 weeks – from 5th June to 19June at Lörrach, Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany. It was a visit of hitting 3 birds with one stone. France , Switzerland and Germany coz Lörrach lies at the border of the 3 countries.
The main purpose of the trip/ visit was to exchange culture, exposure to Germany as a country, education, to pay back the visit, and more so to facilitate Namataba project. It was an unforgettable and learning experience for the learners i.e, Germans are very disciplined, keep time, always wear seatbelts, etc. Great thanks to Canon John Fred Kazibwe for initiating such a program in school.
Indeed many students have been encouraged to learn German.
