The Uganda Inter Schools Golf Championship 2024 was held on 18th May 2024 at the scenic Lugazi Hills Golf and Country Club. With the first tee-off at 9:00 am, the event saw an impressive turnout of 109 students from 24 schools across the country, marking a significant step in nurturing the future of golf in Uganda.
Kings College Budo emerged as the Overall Winning School, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication. This victory is a testament to the school’s commitment to excellence in sports.
New entries like St. Joseph’s Girls S.S.S Nsambya, Elite High School, St. Henry’s College Kitovu, Immaculate Heart Nyakibale Girls School, Horizon International School Jinja, Mirembe Junior School, Multiple Junior School, and Hanak International School, brought fresh talent and enthusiasm to the championship, enriching the overall experience for participants and spectators alike.
The championship featured notable participation from Palm Valley Golf Club, Jinja Golf Club, Uganda Golf Club, Entebbe Club, Mary Louise Simkins Memorial Golf Course (Namulonge), and the host club Lugazi Hills Golf & Country Club, among others, highlighting the growing interest and engagement in golf among the youth.
